i can't recall how many time I and others on the thread have been referred to as anti-americans...traitors in other words. Hell, conservatives have written books about the subject.

Freedom of speech should not and does not extend to making statements that are harmful to the national interest. While YOUR statements aren't technically harmful, since you have no major forum, McDermott's clearly were.
