Israel denies father of Muhammed al Durra medical treatment in Egypt, says “let him die in Gaza”

Occupied Jerusalem: 14 October, 2003

The Israeli apartheid regime has refused to allow Jamal al Durra, father of Muhammed al Durra, to travel to Egypt for urgent medical treatment unavailable in Gaza.

Twelve year olf Muhammed al Durra was murdered in cold blooded manner
by Israeli occupation soldiers in Gaza three years ago on October 2, 2000, as he and his father sought protection from Israeli soldiers bullets.

The horrific scene of his murder then galvanized much of the world, generating widespread condemnation of Israel’s Nazi-like treatment of the Palestinian people.

Palestinian sources in Gaza said the Israeli military administration refused to grant Jamal al Durra an exit permit to travel to Egypt for badly-needed medical treatment.

An Israeli Civil Administration spokesperson refused to comment on the case, saying only that “let him die in Gaza.”

Israeli clamps a hermetic blockade on the Gaza Strip, reducing the most crowded place on earth to a detention camp.

Gaza Strip has a land area of nearly 350 square kilometers in which over 1.3 million people live, most of them in squalid refugee camps.

Israel has truncated Gazan population centers by military roadblocks, cutting Gazan communities from each other and isolating the region from the rest of the
