I see your point, but sticking to the theory of dem vs repub from what I can see according to that article, if you add up both types of money, the dems were still outspent.

I read an article in Money magazine about health care costs today and in it it was describing the advantage to care providers of merging. The main advantage being that the bigger they are the more they can use their size to bargain for better deals. (from suppliers, etc etc.)

I think that in politics corporations use this to big advantage also. The only hope for the little guy to get a fair shake is to organize and collectively bargain.
