The US doesn't allow free immigration to any nation. Israel, by contrast, allows free immigration to ALL members of a particular religious group

Both countries control their immigration, and favor and disfavor what populations they choose. Every country claims the right to control immigration.

After the history of the last 70 years, I don't think that Israel needs to apologize to anybody for being a refuge for the Jews. The flip side of allowing Jews into Israel is the frequency with which other countries force their Jews out, never mind if the Jews had lived there for hundreds or thousands of years.
