Brown & Co is the value leader for online brokerages:
5$ market order and 10$ limit order. I use them and the service is far superior to Amtrade, which I also used in the past for a while when my NDB account was transferred to Amtrade. Then there is also Scottrade for 7$ market orders, they do have many local offices but I have not used them.

Yes, I don't trade that much, MAYBE about 6 buys and 6 sells a year, but I also don't have over 100K in my Fidelity accounts (but I'm close to it), that might be the problem......

I am shopping for a new broker, but I want to keep my Fidelity Contra I own, I may just transfer most of my cash holdings and leave the account open, with just Contra.
