Are you saying that investment income should be taxed at a different (higher) rate than income from labor or corporate manufacturing income?

Fred, but investing money overseas doesn't grow the economy, provide US worker's jobs, help innovate new
products to manufacture in the US, or stimulate trade. Yes
an individual can make money but it is small in the scheme
of international trade and growing the US economy... The
theme is ECONOMIC GROWTH which is good for the country and
our capitalist system and FAIR international trade, with
little to no trade deficit at the expense of taxpayers.
FWIW, I would rather have seen the tax break applied only
for investment in US based businesses, with NO overseas
write off's or tax exemption allowed, that will keep the
investment capital benefitting the economy. BB
