The guy's choice of words was horrible, and I'm sure he didn't mean it the way it came out. I don't think ANYONE would discount the importance of every American soldier's life.

Just as bad was the following statement:

"Yesterday, it was George Nethercutt's turn to sell the administration's failing Iraq policy," the party said. "But as he tried to marginalize the loss of hundreds of U.S. soldiers, Nethercutt insulted the memory of those who have died."

In effect, undercutting American policy with an obvious lie ("administration's failing Iraq policy") for political purposes.

Trying to use this war for political gain is going to backfire on the liberals.

It is a better and more important story than losing a couple of soldiers every day," he told his audience, while adding he did not want any more soldiers to die.

That's how they feel. Anything to draw attention away from the mess they got us into....and keep those votes. It's the Max Cleland is Osama's friend played over and over again...

Al, that's right........they are OBL's best friends. They play right into his game....and Bush and his cronies don't get it; just like Ray doesn't get it about the Supreme Court. There's no there there!
