Libertarians will never make it into the federal level of office holders. As if big business doesn't like big government? Look at what's been going on in Washington over the past 3 years under Republican leadership, big deficits, big defense outlays, big new government bueracracies like Homeland security, big bailouts for the airlines, and you think big business actually wants some idealistic Libertarians in office taking away their gravy train? I think not! Libertarians are way too pure and concerned about doing the right thing like standing up for the Constitution for their greedy asses.

If it's not good for business to have a strong military presence, why the hell do we spend so much on the military and have troops in nearly 100 countries around the world? Things happen for a reason and the reason is because it's good for American business to have a military presence around the world to keep control of things. An added bonus is all the "defense" dollars that go directly into Big Busineses coffers. If 9/11 proved anything to us, it is that our military does not exist to actually defend our country. Where the hell were they on 9/11? Defending Japan from Russia?

I do think FDR knew Pearl Harbor was coming. That's my opinion. It's hard to believe that it was a total surprise and he needed a reason to rally the people behind the war.
