Jeffry,

You're barking up the wrong tree. I'm not bitter about missing March. March was one of Brinker's most decisive calls and consequently it may be his best call of all time. I do not, however, trust that he can call the top of the CB.

Brinker opinions at this point in time are just his generic kind of useless market musings. I remember when he harped for years about market valuations being a problem in the last bull market. All of that was useless because valuations are still a problem today.

In the end, it's the mechanics of his model that are worth anything. While the model will eventually fail, for now it enjoys a few successes. Brinker opinions, on the other hand, are not worth the paper his newsletter is printed on.

you think it bad that Brinker warns people that if there is no improvement in certain areas that the Cyclical Bull could be in trouble? You mean it is bad for subscribers to know and be on guard for that?

I think that if it turns out to be as he said, then he will take credit for saying it (or something like it) in advance. If it doesn't happen as he said you will never hear him mention it again. Flip a coin and you have just matched odds with Brinker.

The bigger question, I think, is what does Brinker do if he misses the top? Does this get treated like the QQQ blunder where he'll just hold all the way down again? You've really got to wonder and know that he can't manage a position on the decline.

It's good that Brinker provides some food for thought. Now go forth and seek out more and better opinions. Brinker has shown he can't call tops and has said it's one of the hardest things to do. So you really have to be a dyed-in-the-wool believer to trust that he's gonna be able to do it this time.
