(Monopolies seldom have to 'try harder'... that's one of the big advantages of exerting monopoly power: you can crush emerging competition to protect your franchise, so there is less need for continuous product improvement.) >>> There is an interesting study going around now, that postulates that sole source use of MS software is possibly a national security risk.
