An unabashed admirer of strategic double-dealing and stab-you-in-the-back politics, Ledeen has even written a book called "Machiavelli on Modern Leadership," subtitled: "Why Machiaveli's iron rules are as timely and important today as five centuries ago." In other words, Ledeen can easily contemplate a pre-emptive US strike against Iran, simply to further the US/ Israeli Imperial Imperative --no matter what the cost in human lives or capital. Ledeen also promotes his psychopathic neo-con world view in his book "The War Against the Terror Masters." He also writes for National Review -- "They (foreigners) must attack us in order to survive, just as we must destroy them to advance our historic mission." In other words, Ledeen needs no casus belli ever again, since he embraces an endless series of preemptive wars. Using the Jesuit pretzel logic of "Let us do evil that good may come," Ledeen writes that "in order to achieve the most noble accomplishments, the leader (George Bush?) may have to enter into evil." A dangerous statist who promotes war with religious zeal, Ledeen is an enemy of liberty, who writes that, "Without fear of God, no state can last long, for the dread of eternal damnation keeps men in line, causes them to honor their promises, and inspires them to risk their lives for the common good." By entangling religious zeal with political brainwashing, Ledeen promotes the Doctrine of Endless War, writing that "Dying for one's country doesn't come naturally. Modern armies, raised from the populace, must be inspired, motivated, indoctrinated. Religion is central to the military enterprise, for men are more likely to risk their lives, if they believe they will be rewarded forever after for serving their country." In the most bizarre foreshadowing of the 9-11 World Trade Center Disaster, Ledeen wrote in 1999 -- "Of course, we can always get lucky. Stunning events from outside can providentially awaken the enterprise from its growing torpor, and demonstrate the need for reversal, as the devastating Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941 so effectively aroused the U.S. from its soothing dreams of permanent neutrality." Imagine -- Ledeen calls the Attack on Pearl Harbor a "lucky" event. Ledeen's mindset can also be gleaned from his book "Universal Fascism," in which he extolls a fascist state based upon the ideals of Gabriele d'Annunzio, Mussolini's predecessor. According to "The Octopus: Secret Government and the Death of Danny Casolaro" by Kenn Thomas, editor of Steamshovel Press, and the late Jim Keith, "Reporting directly to Oliver North (as well as being a consultant in the Pentagon and State Department) was Michael Ledeen." "Ledeen was responsible for obtaining Israeli Mossad spy Jonathan Pollard his job in the Department of the Navy; for establishing a line of Israeli influence into the NSC, and is known to have been a member of the P2 (Propaganda Due) Masonic lodge," continue Thomas and Keith. "P2, with a membership believed to include Henry Kissinger and Alexander Haig, is the organization known to have taken over the highest levels of Italian government and responsible during the 70s and 80s for an attempted bankrupting of the Vatican in an alliance that linked the P2, the KGB and major networks of drug trade." In his speech to JINSA, Ledeen made the case for more State Terrorism in the Middle East, saying that "the time for diplomacy is at the end; it is time for a free Iran, free Syria and free Lebanon." Is Michael Ledeen just an agent of influence, who promotes a criminal network of Corporate/ Socialist (National Socialist) interests, or is he, as one of America's pre-eminent warmongers, following a more sinister agenda?
