Malcom, You're the third person in as many days to "come back" to SI after a fairly lengthy time away. Probably the sure sign of a top in the market. :) Regardless, very glad as always to see you. Given the reason you're staying away from all U. S. stocks, I would think you would want to avoid most stocks of any country. If the U. S. economy fairs so badly, most regional economies will like be adversely affected. Whatever your strategy, I hope it works for you. --Mike Buckley P. S. Hi, Malcolm! Glad to see you're still working on finding good investment vehicles. I can't say I agree with your current strategy, or political thinking for that matter, but each of us has to tailor an approach suited for our unique circumstances, and I'm sure yours is well thought out. It seems to me that confidence in the American Way is increasing after the terrible pounding we took from the double barreled hit by recession and terrorism. This may be the perfect time to start vetting candidates, to find a few that appear to have pongid dna and signs of sustainable competitive advantages. uf
