I did not say ethical arguments never come into conflict?

My point was that a "standard" ethic can and often does have more conservative applications and more lenient applications. The conservative and lenient aspects being based on the standard.

What part of that are you disagreeing with?

The fur wearing view points you expressed are not based on the same ethic btw.
