I agree. I think there is an attitude among some that, "hey, we are working people, we don't go to College." This is especially true among Latins toward their women.

That seemed to be the conclusions from the links that were posted, too. Most of the analysis group:

1. Had parents that had only a high school diploma or less.
2. Had parents that worked mostly in the trades and service industries.
3. Expressed "couldn't afford" as the biggest reason for not going on to college, despite the availability of funds from the State.

Perception: working class kids don't go to college. Only rich kids go to college. You see this attitude amongst American blacks and hispanics, too. Ironically, they can get more money to go to college than any white kid.
