since I work with Bangalore every day I don't like the term "indians"...

I have tried the term "Hindus" and got in trouble with that one too. A jumbled Nation. That has a love/hate relationship with the west. But they get good educations, and learn English. And are running a lot of our tech companies.

The US Naturalization citizenship test describes them as "Native Americans". If one answered "Indian" to the question, one would be incorrect in the answer.
