IT would be better if we could get past our need to starve people to let the body die "naturally" and put them to sleep with the same kindness we would show a stray cat. Starvation is a painful and lengthy process. I would never choose to die that way. I would prefer almost any other quick death. It is wrong to prolong suffering to salve our "consciences" in this bizarre way. imo

Well, not the worst, but certainly awful.

Still, whether you are really a vegetable or whether you are alert inside a dead body, either way you're better off dead, at least I would feel that way were it me.

I don't know. It could be like a wonderful dream that goes on and on. Freed of bodily constraints and wordly interactions, the mind could be off on a glorious adventure.

Doesn't seem likely from what we know of the mind today, but we know amazingly little. It could be like a perpetual zen trance.
