Snowshoe, some of the Israelis are New Zealanders and wouldn't need to buy a citizenship. I doubt that the rest could afford to buy a controlling interest at $2million per pop.

The Peretz family from Mangere Bridge left a few decades ago, but being born in NZ would still be entitled to citizenship. Mary Peretz was one of them. I forget the rest.

We'd have a constitution before we sold the citizenships which would preclude such 'boot out the locals' ideas. Also, why would you think that 3 million New Zealanders would want to sell to Israelis? Where do you think the New Zealanders would go to live? Israel? Not bloody likely! Some would.
