Ed, the future earnings expectations are more important than the past 12 months. But the recent earnings provide a good base going forward.

The futures strip may provide us comfort with future prices, but neither E&P's or OSX plays will benefit until the institutional equity players believe it.

Q4 is only a few weeks old and the land rig count is showing an uptrend from its recent base. Many suspected that in Q4 activity would increase in the USA. Going forward either the E&P's increase drilling or they watch their production profile drop. Future spending will soon jack up day rates on the land side.

I am hoping for at least a normal Winter, but I am willing to suffer a brutally cold one.<g>
