I understand that the husband had the right to have medical treatment stopped. The wedge that the family could drive into the issue is to argue that not feeding her, once she is unplugged is not medical treatment.

You know from the past how I feel about the matter. We have one life and one death. How insane that one should live as a respected human and die as an abject animal? That would be the ultimate insult. When my time comes I hope to be able to say my goodbys, and then take progressively higher titrates of morphine till I lose consciousness and the final dose may be administered.

Of course, as the song goes..."you don't always get what you want..." <g>
