Jake, Yeah, it's odd that Clinton told the same lies about Bush's economy to make his own successes look stronger that Dubya is telling about the Clinton economy to make Dubya's failures look less criminal. Makes sense to me. <G> Bush is still in "blame Clinton" mode. We do have to blame him for peace, prosperity and surpluses. But, heck, war, depression and deficits ain't so bad. <G>

Milton Friedman - an economist dearly loved by conservatives said: A tax cut without corresponding spending cuts is not a tax cut at all. It is merely a deferred tax increase.

We partly paid for the Reagan tax cuts by the Bush 1 tax increase and the Clinton tax increase. We can confidently expect to pay for the bush 2 tax cuts by tax increases in the near future.
