I wonder why, if there's any doubt about her experiencing pain, they don't just give her a bunch of morphine for it. I must be missing something here. Society has already acknowledged that it's OK to give a fatal dose of morphine to combat pain. So why risk her suffering. If the decision is already made to let her die, then why not throw the morphine on top? Perhaps that double dipping is too much for the ethicists. Starvation or morphine but not both...
