I saw an article on IT outsourcing in paper the other day where Michael Dell was quoted (unfortunately can't find the online version).. His contention was basically IT outsourcing is not a great idea and it might prove to be a failure in about 5 years, or words to that effect..

I see most IT shops going the hybrid model, where they have local presence backed up with shops in India.. Any companies that outsources their IT shops without doing some planning and thinking will pay for it, one way or another.. It has always been that way and nothing that I have seen suggests this trend is any different.. except of course, it is much more pronounced..
