I am trying to imagine being the parent of a child in the same condition Terri is. I don't have the emotional strength to imagine one of my own actual children in that state, so I'm working with an imaginative child I don't have, but still, i can't decide how I would feel or respond. I fear that the parents have made this fight into such a central part of their lives that they have invested emotions in Terri that are totally unrealistic. I hope they don't have any other children who are being neglected while all this attention is focussed on Terri.
