OT

How about first simply improving the quality of life of most people?

Get real Brian. I can't help others if I am not healthy myself unless I donate my estate to charity. I hope you are not planning a hit to speed this process? -g-

It only makes sense to spend our good money FIRST to stay healthy so you can then hit us up for donations for what is left over. -g-

Hi Brian,

You bring in proper perspective when the world population is included.

If we look around the wealth of the USA,we realize that China's maufacturing needs must be very large:

1) to be able to export low value/tech goods - so that they have funds to buy high tech things like GE turbines. They're still trying to bring infrastructure accross their country.
2) to be able to have the same items we experience for their tremendously large population.

Morgan must be given credit for seeing this huge demand.Amat will surface as a huge global leader of developement.

Listen to many of the quarters earnings announcement's.Many say business is good in China.
The news media wants J6P to think it is a one way street. It is not. Many of the U.S.'s leading manufacturing companies are selling very high end equipment to China. The fact that we bring in inexpensive goods - which are enjoyed by most is just a necessary part of a two way trade.

The global demand for integrated circuits is just beginning to awaken.

There will only be a relatively small demand for the state of the art-leading technology chips(and it will have peaks and valleys).

The good news is how huge the underlying demand of basic commodity chips will be.

The next wave of growth will not be the result of a new "killer application" - it will be the result of the multitude and wide ranging array of products - all being sought by the end user.

Demand is back and growing,as we surpass the old production records of the "bubble of 2000".

The next year will be much easier to own SCE stocks,as we once again realize that we are invested in a "Growth,Cyclical Sector".

Of course the volatility will be greater - therefore harder to hold onto our investments.

This quarter is shaping up quite nicely.Q4 will be even better.

Have a great weekend.

Bob
