"This is a reason why I really prefer trading in a bear market. Frankly, bear markets are much more fun than bull markets. Now isn't that an odd thing to say? "

I find that fascinating. I realize that many like to match wits with a tough adversary but do you find trading in a bear market is more profitable than investing in a bull market? If no, then I don't understand the concept of fun. :)

"Some other ideas that I'm trying are simple things like, watch for companies that show good management during bearish declines like those that use the time to expand into new markets at a fraction of the cost. This was a reason I bought INTC and they have been a stellar performer in this CB."

I agree....if the semiconductor companies show well thru this CB.....well, I will buy them up next time .....cymi, klac, klic, asyt, even Mtsn...is showing some great gains here......where before in the 90's, you had to wait till the group showed some gains ...you might pick them up CHEAP when all stocks are down and gobble them up .......
