Unless I am missing something, KLAC looks to be one of the poorest performers over that timeframe; why do you think it looks "powerful"?

Bob,

KLA reports earnings after market close next Wednesday. My guess is it will be more positive looking forward than NVLS's call as I think they are under less competitive pressures.

In addition to less 'competitive" pressure, KLAC is making money on the "buy our tools to figure out your yield/productivity problems so you don't have to buy those other guys tools" (steppers etc)
