Not just sure what you mean by your reference to March 17, 2000, unless of course, it's the aftermath...Wonder when we'll see another day like April 18, 2000:

18-Apr-00 72.87 79.25 71.50 79.00 8,274,200 39.50

Opened at $72.87 and closed at $79!

(edit3) What do you think that AMD's earnings rate was for the month of September ?

What do you think that AMD's earnings rate was towards the end of September ?

AMD did indicate that the third quarter was heavily back end loaded when it declined to give updated guidance.

What do you think that this implies for the current quarter ?

I have trouble coming up with any senario in which AMD will earn less per share than inteL will this quarter. (as per the niceguy)

BTW I GOT IT TODAY !!! (I picked it up in Lung Island City and went home to Rockland through Manhattan. I almost got killed on the way home only twice. I am sure that my skills will improve if I live. If I stop posting suddenly, perhaps I did not.)

It is fun so far.
