Lizzie - that's the question. Clearly MSFT is not doing EE for Sun, and I doubt HP would do a big Opteron box. DELL is clearly not the one. Could be IBM, but it would seem to work against their PPC efforts.

It could be a less visible player. Unisys has done a lot with big configurations based on Itanium and has the expertise to do a big Opteron. Maybe they are tired of fighting the lack of market for Itanium. Unisys also was a lead partner in the EE program and has the service team to do the complete offering.

Could also be CRAY, who has talked about larger Opteron configurations outside of their MPP work. But I don't know if they have the service teams up to speed on MSFT technology.

There are some other possibilities but those are the two who pop to mind.
