Blind faith. And so what if they finally find something? Where was the imminent threat? That was the ONLY reason for a rushed unilateral war, if the USA were definitely under imminent threat a la Japan before Pearl Harbor. Just did not exist. No way. Saddam was a general menace but was much-weakened and surrounded. If Bush had waited as little as 3 weeks he could have gotten UN support. If he had waited until fall he could have gotten a broad coalition. But I suppose lust for oil overwhelmed logic. No surprise US tax-payers don't get any of that oil under Bushie plans.
