If only there were more Democrats with courage of Byrd and Kennedy. When push came to shove way too many of them voted for this $87 billion just as they voted to authorize Bush to attack Iraq a year ago. The Democratic party today (with a few honorable exceptions) represents essentially Bush light. Indeed the Democratic Party counts among its ranks war hawks every bit as fanatical as the Bushies like Lieberman and RepresentativeTom Lantos of California.
