Which of my points do you doubt?
1) That "20% of our labor force of 147MM will retire by 2008" is not a number net of additions to the labor force?

.. or that 2) the labor force will remain constant at about 147MM?

Number 2 on the Cisco ballot for the upcoming November Annual meeting:

2. To approve an amendment and restatement of the Employee Stock Purchase Plan, including an increase of 100,000,000 shares authorized for issuance under the plan and a 5 year extension of the term of the plan.

Some things never change.
