Allen, thanks for the summary. I was not able to access the conference call - I think ZoneAlarm is interfering with access to a few sites. Will try again when I have time.

If the conference call is as bad as you make it sound, I may reduce my stake in this company. Management competence is so important, and I am losing faith in ECD's.

Steve

Allen, I find ener (temporarily enere...) very frustrating; however, I did not find the conference call to be completely negative. They scewed up on re-financing the Unisolar deal.... On the other hand, I was please to hear about the telecom battery potential, especially since u.s. auto programs have been delayed. Their claims of low-cost status for solar cell production will likely be debunked or proven quite soon. GE research project is promising. Did not hear anything about OUM (fortunately I inadvertently skipped the 1st 20 mins of Stempel reading p.r.'s) Heard Stan's enthusiasm for the cognitive computer program - tho I doubt if he will be at ECD another 20 years to sheperd the project to completion. To me the major issue with this company is Stan - both a creative genius and a management problem. Stan's creations have changed the world; and I greatly appreciate being able to invest with him. On the other hand, his technologies are long-term, much longer than a typical public company shareholder can wait. My bet is that a couple of Stan's creations pay off in the next few years, which ones and how much, I have no idea.

Gotta have a lot of patience and a sense of humor to be a shareholder in this company. (and hopefully only pocket change invested...)

I was taken to the woodshed by Ray Bowman who I respect. I always read his posts on Yahoo as they are interesting and usually positive in this negative news world. Post no. 94790 on yahoo board.

finance.messages.yahoo.com

Unanswered questions? Will United Solar be profitable with out a partner If expansion ensues. What about the advance battery 120 wh/kg is that the magnesium battery? what's its cost? What will it be sold in? What kind of percent is ECD going to get off its royalties to INTE for OUM ect.? What reason was I told at Hydrogen display there would be a product for hydrogen storage at 2001 annual meeting? I understand thing don't work out as you plan but to not follow up and explain what happened is not right. As to accuse Metzer of venting I said that with humor in mind. ECD refuses to just give estimate on what Becket lost in money. And what ECD got. Becket did get some paten rights for their roll to roll machines. How many millions did ECD come out ahead in Beckets withdrawal. I don't like their answer. We paid 6 million Becket paid 90 million ECD has to paid money to cover 40 million loan on machines 24 million was mention for something I belive (not mentioned at meeting) I get it all mixed up I need one figure from ECD and I see I am not going to get it. For whatever? Why didn't they mention the military battery competition in December with its win or lose competition with lit.-pol. battery. What happened to old sky station project is it still a possibility. (Not the military contract that they got.)I know of 4 people some one on yahoo and 3 on SI that had questions that did not get answered.

Ray, I don't want you to answer these questions. I want ECD to be more responsive to their share holders. I was one sided in my post which is not right.Due to long build up frustration with ECD.

Stan was being interviewed years ago.I belive one of Detroit newspaper, The question asked to Stan was "Your company has been losing money for 25 years "blab blab blab what you going to do about it (something to that effect.) Stan "I don't intend to lose money for another 25 years." (to that effect) If company started in 1960 than 1985 is first 25 years. 2010 is Stans last year. ECD is starting to run out of years. I really don't think he meant that literally.

The last two times up the insiders got out and left me holding the bag. I should have invested in "tarbabys" and "padded cells" makers. (Yahoo board members will know what I mean.)
