Re free speech on campus, I wish they would quit banning unpopular speech. That really sends the wrong message, IMO. OTOH, I wish they'd offer the knuckleheads who put Confederate flags on doors and the like some "sensitivity training." There are some things we have the right to do that are just too, too rude and tacky to actually do except as a well-placed exclamation point. Regarding male and female brains, that may be true on average, but it isn't absolutely true. I know this from personal experience. There are wide individual variations. I have never fit in any female pattern on any of the instruments they use to measure such things. I'm an INTJ in Myers Briggs, the system builder, and I made a career out of doing just that. One of the problems with that kind of data is that it tends to pigeonhole, even stereotype. It's one of those things that can provide insights but looked at on a soundbite level does more harm than good and you have to be careful with it.
