Thanks Sylvester for the information. I have always been leery of the two state solution for Israel and Palestine. To me, it makes sense that there be a single land, that both Arab and Jew could live together in. I envision it as a democracy where both Jews and Arabs would participate.

It would seem such a natural result, as the region is rich in natural beauty, abundance and history. The economy could be supported on tourism alone. Enough wealth for the country to house, feed, clothe and educate every child. No one should be for want of anything.

To me a single unified state, joining together all the peoples of the land in harmony and respect is the answer. I do not believe in the two states separated by a wall. We just tore down the Berlin wall, and then in Palestine they are erecting a new wall of shame. This will only hurt the people by dividing them further.

If a two state solution emerges, it should in my opinion be only a bridge to a single democratic entity where every person can live in dignity, regardless of race or religion.
