the point is that the US is a free market system and I want to open the market Michael, that is all I am saying.

I don't care about the "funding R&D" argument, because I am in the business of R&D and I know that nobody in government is out there protecting me from foreign competition. I have to compete against it, sometimes at a dear cost to the US workforce who depends on R&D here.

I can buy software from Germany (SAP) and cars from Japan so why not drugs from Canada. You want to put the drugs through a safety inspection, be my guest, it might add 2% to the cost but I'd still be ahead 68%. If drug companies can't compete without price gauging, as they are doing now, they should fold imho.

It's cheaper to use the net and pay the shipping costs.



How is Europe handling Internet buying? Can you buy and have shipped to you items without paying taxes or duties?
