Your posts got me clicking around, searching for more data. While I think it's a mistake to get too superficial with this stuff, we can get some clues from the following, based on the premise that the peak spending and real estate-buying years, demographically-speaking, are the mid to late 40s:

Germany - probably a pretty good economic boom starting now and for the next 12 or so years, followed by something quite nasty and prolonged.

Japan - economy is bottoming. A slow recovery followed by another boom starting in 5 or 6 years.

New Zealand is the place to be - nothing but good times for the next 20 years.

United Kingdom - things look good. The much-reported residential property boom will run for another 10 years.

USA - growth through 2010, then 15 years of the economic doldrums.
