I guess you don't understand that Franken is a humorist and writer that points out the hypocrisy and lies that one political party offers their minions of "true-believers".

This would be a valid point IF Franken attacked both sides, Left and Right. But he doesn't. He is selective in "pointing out" who is lying, when in fact Lying does not belong to either party but is shared by both.
