As the largest consumer of oil, the USA has been paying a price for not seeing the Gulf War to its end in 1991. We are paying now and will pay even more in the future for any future restrictions in Iraqi oil exports.

By the time the politicians are forced to inform us of our need to ensure an increasing and stable flow from Iraq the price will be much higher than today's.

Each $5 increase in a barrel of oil is worth $40 billion a year to the USA.

If Iraq collapses into anarchy where do oil prices stop?
