Brings to mind a political cartoon I saw early last year, where Chirac was portrayed as a prostitute flirting with Saddam as his "trick"..

Thank goodness the rest of the Europeans were able to overrule him..

Chirac (the B*stard in question) is positioning his country on the sidelines of the ongoing slugging match between Crusaders and Jihadists. Expect him to make a profit wherever possible, avoid being targeted by either side, and not help anyone (except himself).

This may indeed be his idea. But since the Jihadists have a track record of not staying bought off, reading appeasement as weakness, and seeking targets of opportunity, he's going to find that it doesn't work so well. Only a matter of time, really.
