Peter, what other country enjoys such low tax rates as the US?

The government does not "confiscate" your earnings. Part of it you get back later. The rest goes into running things, majking us the world super power and keeping us from living in a land of utter chaos.

Everyone is concerned about cutting wasteful spending, but Bush hasn't done it. The pork is bigger than ever with Bush and Tom Delay in charge. Bushies aren't even telling us where tens of billions are being spent. Hundreds of billions are being paid to farmers not to grow anything or as price supports. Hundreds of billions more go to interest on deficits and debt. Hundreds of billions more in additional military spending after 19 men hijacked three planes and took down the WT and hit the Pentagon. I dont blame you for questioning where you tax dollars are going. What we need is a much more fiscally responsible leader at the top.

Bush's tax cuts have been a disaster. Not a single job created and a ballooning deficit far beyond anything Bushies predicted. They have devalued America while enriching the already rich. And for no apparent reason other that believing in the crazy myth that lower taxes creates growth and higher revenues. They told us "It's your money" but didn't tell us "It's your debt".
