The idea that US prestige dropped in Europe because of one or two leaders there is naive at best. Far fewer people in Europe trust and admire the US after the last 12 months, it's that simple. They see a belligerent, dishonest US government that doesn't respect other countries and their viewpoints.

Americans can complain and point fingers and call Europeans names all they like. From what I see, Europeans don't care, they get along with their daily lives in full realization that it's 2003, not 1945.

Notice Kerry runs strongest against Bush than any other.
However, since only 50% of the country knows who Kerry is, he has a long way to go. The unnamed democrat beats Bush.
