Forgive me, but I think its the article that's important not the website it's on. You must realize this too which is why you want to draw attention away from it by conjuring up conspiracist fantasies about the website the article was posted on. The Life article revealed a certain sour defeatist mindset which is seemingly always with us. Comments like We have swept away Hitlerism, but a great many Europeans feel that the cure has been worse than the disease reminds me a little of Howard Dean commenting that the end of Saddam's regime "might" be a good thing. And the criticisms of deBaathification in Iraq echo They tell us that our mechanical de-nazification policy in Germany is producing results opposite to those we planned. “Have you no statesmen in America?” they ask. And “We’ve lost the peace," - well, just punch in "Iraq lost the peace" and take your pick of articles saying the same thing. .. which doesn't mention Midland Texas at all. No, the website it links to does. The Jessicaswell site has only the first page with a link to the other site for the entire article. I understand the guy wanted to "split the bandwidth load" when the article got noticed by some of the big bloggers.what kind of relation do you suppose a Midland, Texas oil exploration company would have with a certain President of the United States that just happens to live in Midland Texas I don't think Bush has lived in Midland since he was a kid. So its likely Bush and Doug Heck have no relationship whatsoever. And as far as Doug Heck and George Bush both having been in the oil industry, that happens to be a pretty large industry. An awful lot of people are in it. I don't know how close you want me to get it to George Bush and his administration. I'd say that pinning it to his home town, and to his own industry, I'm sorry but that isn't close at all. In fact, it confirms it ISN'T an "administration hack" behind the posting of the Life article.
