GE boosts quarterly dividend 5 percent

BOSTON, Dec 12 (Reuters) - General Electric Co. (NYSE:GE - News) on Friday said it boosted its quarterly dividend 5 percent, marking the U.S. conglomerate's 28th consecutive year of dividend growth.
GE's board voted to raise the quarterly dividend to 20 cents per common share, up from 19 cents per common share.

Fairfield, Connecticut-based GE said it has paid a quarterly dividend without interruption since 1899.
