That's right, put the pressure on me!!.... "respond immediately, or news will make you look like a dufus."

:-)

I still haven't updated "2000". The portfolios are under performing relative to a dart board biotech portfolio, as has been true for some time. Both have a hunk of immobile "sore thumb" cash, adding further embarrassment. Let's let them die. If anyone wants to either tend to and revive the current portfolios OR have a go at a new T/FIF portfolio while I take a breather, that would be great.

If one takes all of the T/FIF portfolios and sort of compounds a return, it will be apparent that the leverage inherent in some biotechs can make for extraordinary investment ops. Good or bad, it's a fact of life that trickles down from pharma margins.

Pharma and Biotech increasingly compete on equal footing. Biotech-derived drugs are rolling out at increasing frequency, and we'll soon have Icos almost rubbing out the P/B distinction altogether. The largest biotech has a market cap of 80B.

I've got an idea for a much-needed new T/FIF thread. This one is sort of worn out. It looks like the "new plateau" did indeed turn out to be at a ^BTK of about 300, and I'd propose that this level will provide some support in any general market correction, if and when.

It will take a few more posts to wrap up the thread, but........ want to acknowledge/thank Erik for providing such a glitzy wrapping to T/FIF #3.
