Chris, I think it depends on what you mean by "atheism." I assumed you meant the hostile kind like we saw in communism. I don't see any reason why a bunch of humanists couldn't come up with a fine governing system. Surely you aren't including all non-theists in your statement, or are you?

My chastisement of you for your flippant insults and misrepresentation was founded on principle and delivered in a manner both even-handed and objective. Your reply was worthy of you and highlighted your intellect.

To blunt the mice of true criticism you burn down your whole house. A rather frightened way to live; but at least you knew the value of your "argument"!
