One huge problem is that this cycle may be dominated by consumer electronics, web tv, VoD and stuff like that, and consumer spending patterns are notoriously hard to predict. Also, my view is that this offshoring trend and its eventual reversal will impact tech spending fairly dramatically.

I must say I am sorry Gartner is calling for growth, because usually betting against them is the winning strategy.
