Saudi Arabian police have arrested several militants and seized large amounts of
weapons and explosives, including bomb-belts used by suicide bombers, state television reported.

The television showed C4 plastic explosives, home-made pipe bombs and a large number of assault rifles and ammunition belonging to "terrorist cells" which it said were seized in
several raids across the Gulf Arab state.

An Interior Ministry statement read on television said an unspecified number of suspects were arrested during the raids.
