I never denied it. However, Stalin took over in 1924, and overrode, undermined, forced out of the Party, or otherwise dealt with many Jewish leaders long before they were finally killed in the '30s. Some remained for awhile, but increasingly under his thumb, as he consolidated power. And, although an unusual number of people in the leadership positions were Jews, the rank and file of Communists were mostly Russian and other Slavic groups. Since the Bolsheviks were officially against discrimination, and the Tsarist regime actively promoted anti- semitism, it is not strange that some Jews were drawn to Bolshevism and the idea that there had to be a thorough housecleaning in the Russian Empire........
