DRBES,

I heard some guy on the Radio around lunchtime who expected that the TXN (Texas Instruments) results would have an impact on the market. I don't follow TXN, but he claimed that TXN supplied such a broad range of components that it was often used as a bellwether for the semi industry. He suggested that if TXN reported poor results, it would be time to back off the semis for a while, and that if TXN reported good results then buying the SOX index would be a good move because most semis would react well to reports from the "bellwether."

TXN, of course, reported great earnings after the bell, today - it'll be interesting to see if the guy was right. Do you think that what he said made sense?

Regards,

Dan
