We talked tonight with friends about stopping the home subscription for both the NYTimes and the Seattle Times.

There really is no need anymore, for people like us, at least. I check my local paper on line once a day. A real waste here in Honolulu. Always a rundown of the latest goofs by our politicians, and how many bad contracts they have let. Plus the latest Pol going to jail.

Since I have started this tread and really "run" the media daily for stories, It is amazing to me to find out the difference in quality between papers. As much as I hate the slant they can't resist, the NY Times is the best, with the Washington Post right there with them. The LA Times is third. Then there is a huge drop to the rest of the pack. I will occasionally find a well written, interesting story by way of a blog referral.

Anyway, I really enjoy making my rounds of the media and posting the results here. The comments I get from you guys makes it worth while.
